The Landmark London, originally named The Hotel Great Central, was built in 1899 as one of the eras great railway hotels. The hotel was designed around a vast courtyard which was unique in London and provided a dramatic entrance. It also allowed light into all the bedrooms and established standards of luxury and magnificence that were hard to equal.
