OUR SELECTION PROCESS
Our selection process will differ depending on the job you apply for, but most candidates will go through three or four stages process. Normally, this can involve:
A member of the Human Resources department will review your CV to assess how well your skills and experience match the requirements of the job you have applied for. In case your CV closely matches our needs, then you will get through the screening stage.
TELEPHONE INTERVIEW STAGE:
On this stage, a member of the Human Resources department will call you to ask about your current role, why you are interested in The Landmark London and assess your level of English.
The more senior the role you are applying for the more interviews you can expect to attend. Our interviews are designed to assess your skills and experience, but also to assess your behaviours. We work on a people's industry, so your personality and how you interact with people is also essential. Also, we want you to be sure that the role and our company's culture and values are right for you.
Our interviews are competency based and all interviewers are accreditted to interview you, meaning they have the necessary knowledge for the assessment and to provide you with any further information about The Landmark London.
Some roles, especially in our Food & Beverage and Kitchen departments, require a trial shift. The trial shift is unpaid. Again, this is an opportunity for us to see you "on stage" and for you to evaluate if we are what you are looking for.
Finally, in case you have been successful throughout those stages, you will be invited for a final interview with the General Manager or Hotel Manager. They meet all the candidates who applied for roles that involve direct guest interaction somehow. So if you have reached this stage, there are greater chances for you to join The Landmark London. However, please do not assume you were successful just with this final invitation since you still need to impress them!
