A Night at the Opera
Following the success of last year’s opera dinner at The Landmark London, in association with homeless charity streetwise opera, the luxurious five-star hotel will once again provide the setting for their third operatic evening on 18th October 2013.
In keeping with previous events to raise funds for deserving causes, proceeds from this year’s dinner will be donated to one of The Landmark London’s designated charities - KIDS, a home learning charity for severely disabled children living in the nearby Church Street Ward which, despite its location in Westminster, is home to some of the most underprivileged people in the country with one of the highest rates of child poverty.
This year’s event will see four professional singers from the ReVamp Opera Company - including mezzo soprano and ReVamp founder Verona Chard, tenor Ian Bloomfield who was engaged by the English National Opera for several years, bass-baritone Anthony Cable who has performed at some of France’s most prestigious opera houses and recent Royal Central School of Speech & Drama graduate soprano Silvia Baltodano - perform several classical arias interspersed between a gourmet five-course menu specially created for the event by The Landmark London’s talented chefs. Additionally, a gifted group of students from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama will act as a supporting choir.
A ticketed event, the opera will take place in the atmospheric surrounds of The Landmark London’s Winter Garden restaurant underneath the eight-storey glass-roofed atrium. This will ensure a spectacular backdrop and excellent acoustics for the operatic performance and a memorable evening of good music, food and causes.
Date: Friday 18th October 2013.
Tickets: £95 per person inclusive of five course meal and glass of chilled champagne on arrival
