STAFF RESTAURANT ATTENDANT

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Restaurant Attendant to join our Staff Restaurant team, on a permanent basis (full-time).

We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Staff Restaurant Attendant who has the talent to deliver a 5* service at all times, having a positive and “can do” attitude. It is essential to have excellent communication skills, team work attitude and great attention to detail. As a Supervisor Training your tasks will cover the Floor Supervisor role, and support in Training of new team members.

The responsibilities of a Staff Restaurant Attendant are:

  • To carry out all tasks as directed by your immediate supervisor/ manager and to assist in any other areas or duties within the canteen upon request.
  • To work as an individual and as part of a team by assisting in the preparation of fresh salads for the salad counter every morning and to ensure there is enough for the dinner shift.
  • To take ownership for the section. Complete a mise-en-place list in order of priority and liaise with your supervisor
  • To control portion during service as instructed by the staff chef and that wastage is kept to a minimum and to ensure that correct stock rotation is evident throughout the service.
  • To ensure there is enough food and choices on offer throughout the meal service, monitor consumption levels and call for back up in a timely manner.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the canteen at all times, this includes floors, walls, tables, chairs, service counters, drinks machines, kitchen area, wash up area, cutlery and crockery.

The ideal candidate for the Staff Restaurant Attendant is required the following:

  • Good timekeeper
  • Honest
  • Adaptable
  • Familiar with UK Health & Safety legislation

  • monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders to ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum

The ideal candidate for the Chef de Partie is required the following:

  • Great cooking skills
  • An ability to stay calm and work as part of a team during a busy service
  • Organisational aptitude
  • at least NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Previous experience on a 4 or 5* hotel
